Rio Tinto Guinea inaugurates a new health center for the communities in Kérouané
Kérouané, Republic of Guinea – Rio Tinto Guinea has officially inaugurated a new health post to serve the Féréboridou community in the Kérouané prefecture. The new health infrastructure includes a main building for medical care, a reception and triage area, accommodation for the post manager, a waste disposal centre, and a borehole to ensure a reliable supply of drinking water.
The Féréboridou health post is also equipped with appropriate medical supplies to meet the essential needs of community healthcare. It will play a key role in providing primary and preventive care services, including routine consultations for local mothers and children.
Aboubacar Koulibaly, Managing Director of Rio Tinto Guinea, stated: “We are proud to contribute to improving the quality of life for the Kérouané communities through this health post. Rio Tinto is committed to maximising the benefits of the Simandou project for local populations, particularly by enhancing access to essential services such as health and education.
